I continue to be amazed at how the Spirit is moving through this experience. I'll pick up a book, open it to a particular chapter, and... it's talking about the exact issue I'm wondering about. I'm reading AKM Adam's Faithful Interpretation: Reading the Bible in a Postmodern World. Although I haven't finished it yet, the trajectory of his project seems to line up with my desire - although the application will be a little different. I'm thankful that he articulates a 'differential hermeneutic' and then ends with a consideration of 'signifying practices.' I continue to hold the primary question: what do the resurrection narratives mean for the church today and how the church embodies Christ. It is nice to find a hermeneutical structure that will support my project.
